    amazing meal
    lovely atmosphere

Recommend it for couples seeking a peaceful getaway

We had an amazing dinner at the restaurant, the pork chops were very nice, and the horseradish potatoes complemented it perfectly. Susan, the chef, was like a ghost from our past with her Cordon Bleu training, I mean, this lady knows her stuff!

It wasn’t inexpensive, but you know, for what you get, it’s pretty tolerable.

    Exceptional Culinary Delight and Charm

The Victorian decor truly transports you back in time, creating a cozy atmosphere. The dinner experience was a standout, with dishes that reflected the impressive culinary skills of the Cordon Bleu trained chef. The personalized attention from the owners made our stay feel special and welcoming, adding to the charm of the experience. However, a coffee station in the hotel would certainly be a great addition.

We enjoyed some great fishing and a fun hike nearby. The place is super cozy, and the owners really make you feel welcome. If you eat dinner here, don’t miss the salmon—seriously delicious! Pro tip, check out the interesting stories on their website.

We had a little confusion with our dinner timing, which made for a longer wait, but it was totally worth it once the food arrived.

I chose the Historic Elk Mountain Hotel for a cozy getaway, and it did not disappoint. The Queen Room featured charming Victorian decor. The owners were incredibly welcoming and showered us with personal stories about the area. Dinner was a standout, with impressive culinary skills on display. I loved the salmon dish—flavorful and beautifully presented. Breakfast also impressed. the French toast was delightful. Although the lack of air conditioning was noticeable on warmer nights, we managed fine with open windows. Limited coffee facilities were an inconvenience, as there were no in-room machines. Overall, this unique spot delivered memorable moments.

I stayed in a Queen Room for one night. The historic decor was charming and unique, really gave it character. The room was clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax. Friendly staff added a nice touch to the whole experience. However, the lack of nearby dining options was a bit inconvenient, especially since breakfast wasn't included with the room. Overall, the amenities were decent but could've been better considering the price.
